The Bicycling Comedian

"You Can't Bring that Bike in Here!" is a one-hour, one-man show. In addition to stories from 23 years on the back roads of America and the world by bicycle, it features a digital presentation of photos of funny road signs and business signs, starting with a section of, "Signs you don't like to see when on the road by bicycle!" National Lampoon used 208 of these funny road sign photos in their book, "National Lampoon's Big Book of True Facts." Tom’s selection and presentation of the very best of the funny road signs is an incredibly popular part of the show -- truth really is stranger than fiction.

Bikes To You is sponsoring "The Bicycling Comedian" Tuesday evening at 7:30 at the Grinnell College Glove Factory. Tom Snyders, the bicycling comedian, is cycling his way to Colorado for an extended engagement. He has made multiple national TV appearances and has pedaled to more than 200 comedy clubs around the U.S. Come see "You Can't Bring that Bike in Here!" it should be a fun time to get together with other cyclists. The event is Free! Please bring your own soft drinks or water. Pass the word to anyone you know who might have an interest in attending.

BRR Ride

This year’s theme is, “Land of the Freezing, Home of the Brrave.” Sounds like an adventure!

The Perry Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 33rd Annual BRR Ride. They offer games, prizes, and entertainment along with the adventuresome 24-mile ride from Perry to Rippey and back on Saturday, February 6, 2010. Adventure in Glacier National Park

Craig and his family made their traditional Amtrak trek to northwest Montana again this year for the holidays. Glacier National Park is a major draw. Ask him about the fun and incredible beauty. Don’t ask him about the train ride home.

Working, working, working

Just in case you’ve been by the shop and found no one there, Craig, Carl Verstage, and various other employees and easy marks have been working on the shop’s upstairs area. They are converting some of the immense storage space into usable/rentable work areas, specifically Suites X, Y, and Z. If Craig isn’t in the shop, he’s probably upstairs. Listen for the hammering, sanding, or occasional expletive and you’ll know for sure.
