2014 Cannondale SuperSix EVO Ultegra Di2 C

Whether crushing the competition or going for bragging rights, Cannondale's SuperSix Evo Ultegra Di2 handles all the power you can give it. This high-performance machine boasts Cannondale's Ballistec carbon frame and fork to bring your riding and racing to the next level. From aerodynamic touches like narrower down and top tubes and slimmer fork blades, to compliance zones that damp vibrations and boost speed, to specifically tuned high-strength, high-modulus fibers that maximize the strength and stiffness, the EVO is one of the quickest, most-responsive and best-handling bikes you'll ride. The super frame is complemented by Shimano's revolutionary electric-shifting Ultegra Di2 components with a stiff Cannondale Hollowgram crankset, featherweight Fulcrum Racing wheels, and a spread of Cannondale's own lightweight, podium-ready goodies plus a stellar Fizik seat.

    Comments:

I really love riding this bike. Prior to purchasing the SuperSix Evo Di2, I rode an older Cannondale CAAD aluminum frame equipped with a carbon fiber fork and averaged from 200 to 300 miles per week. My arms and wrists were often sore from long rides, braking and shifting. The SuperSix Evo is so smooth that I no longer feel any pain or numbing in my arms. The shifting is flawless, a tap up or down, making it much easier to maintain cadence. The bike can accelerate in a heartbeat...and yet it delivers a surprisingly smooth ride, even on the pav├ęs. The only downside on the bike was the stock 50 tooth chain ring which lasted just over 500 miles before wear got the best of it. The 2013 version was equipped with a 54 tooth chain ring, a better fit for top speeds. My LBS made quick work of that issue by installing an Orgin8 52 tooth sprocket chainring; problem eliminated. The stock tires, Schwalbe Ultremo's are good for top speeds, but are not the best for endurance. Save them for time trials or racing. The entire package is nice, from the handlebars to the Fizik seat.
