Check this page often for updated listings of all types of cycling events in and around our area. Rides require, at minimum, an appropriate bike in good working order, water, and a helmet. We suggest a spare tube, energy food, maybe a little cash in case we stop, and your biggest smile! Many rides are held subject to weather. It's a good idea to confirm dates, time and any specific requirements, too. We'll see you out there — and have fun!
Join us and other bike clubs on one of these fun rides. Whether you are new to cycling or an old pro, there is a ride that's right for you.
Some of these events require fund-raising to benefit charitable organizations. Call for further information.
|Jul 22, 2018||RAGBRAI XLVI||Iowa||RAGBRAI is a week long ride starting on the western edge of Iowa and ending on the eastern edge. 8,000 week long riders participate every year. Up to 32,000 have been counted in a single day riding on the route.|
When and Where:
Road rides take place on Monday evenings, April - August, at 5:45 pm and leaves from in front of Bikes To You (921 Broad St., Grinnell).
What to expect:
Start your week off by taking time to release some of that stress you built up on your "manic" Monday with a medium-paced, beginner friendly, or recovery-based ride in an exclusive women-only environment. The goal of these rides is to improve your confidence riding in a group setting, help make you fitter, and make you faster. Rides typically have a leader that will choose the route and be able to give advice along the way.
